Following her appearance as a panelist at the CMN's June 8th film discussion, Kerry McLean and the Housing Housing and Harm Reduction Community of Practice for Alberta invite you to continue the discussion.

    When: July 11, 2022.
Time: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM
    Link: Event Calendar

    See Kerry's invitation below:

Some members of the Harm Reduction & Housing Community of Practice have watched this fantastic and moving film by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers featuring Dr. Esther Tailfeathers and others, about harm reduction and support efforts in the Kainai community here in Alberta, dealing with the opioid crisis and providing supports both on and off-reserve.

For this next meeting, we are sharing the link to watch the film for those who have not seen it, so we can discuss reactions and responses.

The National Film Board has the film available, also on Amazon Prime and other providers as well. Thus, please come to the meeting on Monday, July 11th from 1 to 2:30 pm having watched - https://www.nfb.ca/film/kimmapiiyipitssini-the-meaning-of-empathy/

(total running time – 2 hours, 5 minutes)
